Director General of Khorramshahr Port and Maritime, referring to the frequent changes in the laws regarding acceptable vessel dimensions in Kuwaiti ports, said: This issue has caused a lot of costs to vessel owners, which was clarified by the Kuwaiti side in the fifth meeting of the joint consular commission of Iran and Kuwait.

According to the press release center of the Ports and Maritime Organization, Noorale Esaadi stated: I attended as the sole representative of the Ports and Maritime Organization at the fifth meeting of the joint consular commission of Iran and Kuwait in order to obtain the agreement of the Kuwaiti side to resolve the problems between the two countries in the maritime and ports issues.

He added: "regarding the problems in the maritime domain between the parties that have arisen in recent years, we discussed about them to raise all the issues with the Kuwaiti parties and we succeeded to solve the problems, finally.”

The Director General of Khorramshahr Port and Maritime considered the frequent changes in the laws related to acceptable vessel dimensions in Kuwaiti ports as a challenge and said: This issue has imposed a lot of costs on the vessel owners, which was made clear by the Kuwaiti side.

Asaadi stated: The Kuwaiti side announced that Doha port does not accept vessels up to 46 meters in length, therefore all Iranian vessels that are less than 46 meters in length are accepted in Doha port, but motor barges, even if they are longer than 46 meters, It is only accepted in this port.

He continued: Al-Shuweikh port also only accepts ships with a length of 46 meters and above, so this port does not accept motor barges.
