This document is a general guidance on the GMDSS radio survey which will be helpful by the mariners, safety officers, surveyors. Refer to the SOLAS, all ships with 300 GT and above (other than ships types which specified by the convention) shall fulfil all mentioned requirement which pointed in this article.

Methods of Fire Protection for Cargo Ships Except Tankers

Recovery of persons from the water

What's new with SOLAS 2024

SOLAS 2024 amendments, that driven by MSC 105, and which will take into effect on 1st Jan. 2024, contains the changes that have been adopted for the 2024 update of SOLAS and its associated Codes. A set of amendments to SOLAS and the associated Codes has been brake down for earlier pre-notation within maritime sector.

MSC 106 “CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO MANDATORY INSTRUMENTS”

The 106th session of the Maritime Safety Committee was held from 2 to 11 November 2022, chaired by Mrs. Mayte Medina (United States). SOLAS New Chapter XV

Following the outcome of the 106th session of the Maritime Safety Committee held in London in November 2023, a new chapter (Ch. XV) SOLAS entitled "Safety measures for ships carrying industrial personnel" has been added to this convention and will come into force on July 1, 2024.
